The hirer/driver must be over 21 years of age and have held a driver’s license for no less than two years.
A local permit for Antigua & Barbuda is required by law; this can be issued by our representative. Please note that your original driver’s license from your country of issue must be presented at the time of the rental.
All vehicles are covered by State Insurance Company Ltd., including US$740,740.74 (EC$2,000,000.00) liability for third party personal injury coverage.
Extra protection — the Collision Damage Waiver — is available and recommended. See Collision Damage Waiver below for full details, and Insurance Rates & Excess for the rate and maximum deductible that applies to each vehicle.
Delivery is free of charge to guests’ hotels in Antigua and Barbuda.
All vehicles are provided with a FULL tank of fuel upon delivery and MUST be returned FULL.
Quoted rental rates are exclusive of tax. Antigua & Barbuda Sales Tax (ABST) at 17% is added to the final cost of your booking.
There are no other additional charges beyond those set out in these terms and in your rental agreement.
All payments are made at pickup. We accept cash and major credit cards — VISA, AMEX and MasterCard.
There is no charge to cancel your reservation. Simply request to have the booking cancelled and it will be cancelled at no charge.
The optional Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is available and is recommended.
If CDW is declined, the hirer accepts full responsibility up to present market value for loss of or damage to the vehicle caused by accident, fire or theft, regardless of who is at fault.
If CDW is accepted, responsibility for damages will not exceed the maximum deductible for the vehicle class — USD$1,500.00, $2,500.00 or $3,000.00 — providing the vehicle is operated in accordance with all conditions of our contract.
CDW does not cover damage to tires or rims, damaged or lost keys, cigarette burns to upholstery, or any damage that falls below the deductible amount stated above.
CDW is charged per day at USD$10.00, $12.00, $15.00, $20.00 or $25.00 depending on the vehicle class. See the table below for the rate and deductible that applies to each vehicle.
